HONEY LAYER CAKE











 

My husband coming home for the weekend will be making my famous  Honey Layer Cake


INGREDIENT

DOUGH:

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

3 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons baking powder

3 cups flour ( 1/2 cup extra needed for kneading)

1/3 cup butter

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla 




CREAM FILLING:

1  cup butter

8 ounce cream cheese

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

2 cups sour cream 

1 teaspoon vanilla sugar 

1 can of sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces






METHOD:

Step 1.

Mix eggs and sugar and set aside until needed.


Step 2. 

Sift flour and salt set aside until needed.


Step 3.

Heat Honey and butter add baking soda and keep mixing, once the baking powder starts to bubble in the honey mixture add the eggs and keep whisking or mixing.

As the eggs are fully incorporated turn the heat off and start to add the flour until it is all incorporated lay it down on a lightly floured board a d start to knead.


When dough is smooth cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for an hour before forming the cake layers.
